THE M25 will be closed tonight between Epping and Enfield while a safety exercise takes place.
The motorway will be shut between junctions 25 and 27 between 10pm this evening (April 17), and 5am on Sunday while safety testing takes place in the Bell Common tunnel and emergency services carry out a 'familiarisation exercise.'
Drivers travelling clockwise will be diverted at junction 23 to the A1 while those travelling anti-clockwise will be diverted at junction 27 on to the M11.
The Highways Agency advises drivers to allow more time for their journeys during the closure.
