A HIT British film about a Muslim suffering from an identity crisis has been set in Waltham Forest.
The Infidel, a comedy, stars actor Omid Djalili as a 'Muslim Homer Simpson' character who discovers he is really Jewish - and includes scenes shot across the borough, with much of the story based in Leytonstone.
Filming also took place at Chingford Assembly Hall, in Station Road, last year.
The movie, which was written by David Baddiel and also stars West Wing actor Richard Schiff as a Jewish cab driver, is currently being shown in Cinemas across the UK.
