THE district's museum has announced its calendar of activities this summer.
Special activities will be put on every Sunday afternoon between 2.30pm and 4pm based around the theme of Art Through the Ages with the chance to create an artwork and take it home at the end of the day.
The first art session at the museum, in Sun Street, Waltham Abbey, takes place on Sunday, May 2 when children from ages six to 13 will be given the chance to make their own flag based on those carried by Norman soldiers in the Bayeux Tapestry, a copy of which is currently on display in the museum.
This activity will be free of charge, although future activities will be charged at £1 per child. There is no need to book.
More information on activities and opening hours can be found at the museum's website eppingforestdistrcitmuseum.org.uk or by calling 01992 716882.
