THE runners for the General Election in the borough's parliamentary constiuencies have been confirmed.

There are 24 candidates across the three constituencies who will bid to be elected MPs on May 6th.

The deadline to register to vote and to apply for a postal vote has now passed.

Anyone wishing to apply for a proxy vote must do so by next Tuesday (April 27).

Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm on May 6.
