EXAMS at one of the district's biggest secondary schools have been affected by the travel disruption caused by the volcanic ash cloud over Europe.
A number of staff and pupils at Davenant Foundation School have been stranded abroad after the grounding of planes following the eruption in Iceland.
A Year 12 AS Level Art exam has now been re-scheduled until next Thursday (April 29), while Year 13 students who do not make it into school for their Art test this Friday (April 23) can sit it next week instead.
However staff at the school, in Chester Road, say they have still managed to teach the majority of previously scheduled lessons despite the disruption.
