ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger believes he can end his five-year trophy drought by winning the Premier League with his current crop of players this season.

The Gunners fell away badly during the run-in last term, but Wenger is confident the team can 'climb two steps' to the summit after coming third last year.

“I believe we have a good chance,” said Wenger, who saw his side bring their pre-season schedule to a close with a bizarre 6-5 victory over Legia Warsaw, taking their record ahead of the new campaign to five wins and one draw.

“The most important thing is that we have that belief. We finished third last season, so we have two stairs to climb and I am confident that we can do it.”
