THE Redbridge Carnival is in full swing this weekend.
The annual event, which is held in different parts of the borough each year, kicked off yesterday at Valentines Park in Ilford with stalls, rides and music on the carnival's main stage.
One particularly popular show was a performance by Bollywood dancer Jay Jumar, who got a number of children watching to come up on the stage with him.
The festivities continue today with the carnival's spectacular procession, which will set off at 12 noon from Ilford Town Hall in the High Road before finishing off in the park.
Events at the park will stay open until 7pm.
