A NURSE is due before a conduct and competence committee hearing this week to examine her alleged failings at a hospital.
Caroline Lowe, 53, of Elizabeth Drive, Theydon Bois, is appearing before a panel of the Nursing and Midwifery Council in London today (September 13) to answer questions regarding the death of a patient at Queen Mary's Hospital, in Kent, in 2008.
She is charged with failing to provide adequate care for a patient by moving the patient to a room that was ill-equipped for care, failing to follow the patient's care plan, failing to keep adequate records, improperly administering a nebuliser without a prescription, failing to call for necessary medical assistance, failing to respect the personal integrity and dignity of the patient, and failing to contact the patient's wife prior to his death.
Ms Lowe's inquiry is expected to last until this Friday, September 17.
