A CONTRACT to transport the dead to mortuaries has been put out to tender.
Waltham Forest Council, acting on behalf of the East London Coroner's Jurisdiction, is looking for bids from organisations which can collect and deliver bodies in five boroughs.
These are Newham, Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham, Havering, and Waltham Forest.
The three-year contract is reportedly worth in the region of £270,000.
