A SOUTH Woodford girl is hoping to sing in front of crowds at London's O2 arena later in the year.

Georgia Evans, 15, of Cheyne Avenue, is through to the second heat in a nationwide singing competition after being selected from thousands in the first heat of the Muzu awards for unsigned musicians.

She will sing in the next heat at Basildon on Saturday.

Her mother, Lisa Evans, said: “It will be nerve-wrecking to sing in front of lots of people, but she'll enjoy it.

“She has only taken up singing in the past year, but she has done a lot of drama and dance before that.”
