OUR PE Instructor Clive Wilson – himself a former Premiership professional footballer– took a group of eight Year nine boys on a special outing – the opportunity to meet and interview football manager Harry Redknapp and members of Tottenham Hotspur’s first team squad at their training ground in nearby Chigwell.
They also observed a training session at first hand. This was a reward for the boys who have been working on an ‘Aspire to Achieve’ sports project recently.
The visit took place the day before Spurs beat Manchester City to claim that vital Champions League place.
The boys used their sporting ability, many of them are keen footballers themselves, as a basis to raise their performance in many areas in the school.
As one can see from their expressions in the photograph taken with Harry Redknapp, the boys thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
