I AM now in my fourth year as headteacher of St. John’s and I am extremely proud of the achievements of our students and the dedication of all our staff.

St. John’s is an inclusive 11-16 school, which welcomes all children from the Epping area irrespective of their faith or ability, and we have created an outstanding community ethos within the school.

Teaching and support staff are passionate about the school and its students and work tirelessly to provide a first class education.

St. John’s has been judged as “a good school” in its last two Ofsted inspections and is well on its way to becoming an “outstanding” school, with significant improvements made, since the last inspection, in GCSE examination performance, the quality of learning and teaching and student behaviour.

Our students feel safe and enjoy their education because of the high standard of learning and teaching in the classroom, our commitment to the well-being of our students and the rich and broad range of experiences they are offered beyond the classroom.

We are proud of our Christian foundation and promote Christian values with our students.

St. John’s, as one of the few Specialist Engineering Colleges in Essex, offers enhanced opportunities for students to develop skills and aspirations in the areas of science, maths and technology, which will prepare them for the challenges and employment demands of the 21st Century.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school via my PA, Sally Kingham, on 01992 573028 ext 202, if you would like to arrange a visit.
