ST JOHN’S School held a business breakfast – a chance for representatives from local schools and businesses to network over an informal breakfast followed by more formal presentations.
The student executive team volunteered to help with the running of the event.
Due to our extensive involvement with the school’s specialist engineering status, Tim Mortimer, deputy head boy, made a presentation to the representatives.
He explained aspects of the new engineering diploma that will be running at St John’s from September and discussed how it was relevant, practical and exciting.
We also mentioned other engineering activities at St John’s such as educational visits and work experience, as well as our primary school links that we see as crucial in promoting engineering to younger students.
All in all the business breakfast was a very successful event and proved useful to all of the schools and businesses involved.
Thank-you to the firms that attended.
