A RESPECTED religious lawmaker drew a large crowd when he was invited to speak at Chigwell & Hainault Synagogue.
Dayan Abraham, a judge of the Consistorial Rabbinical Court, addressed his eager audience at the synagogue, in Limes Avenue, Chigwell, on the topic of Preparing for Yom Kippur.
Yom Kippur is the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, and Mr Abraham spoke in his talk about the power of repentance offered before the event as well as the power of replenishment offered during the day itself.
His speech drew the attention of members from all the surrounding local synagogues, and a variety of attending Rabbis praised his words at the end of the evening.
Chigwell & Hainault Synagogue's Rabbi Baruch Davis said: “This was a wide audience that came from all the synagogues in north-east London, to learn and be inspired, and Dayan Abraham did exactly that.”
