A ROW, which has been described as 'domestic', ended with a waiter at a Chinese restaurant being stabbed.

Woo Buffet in Chingford Mount Road, Chingford, was cordoned off by police after a man was attacked just before midnight last night.

John Woo, who owns the restaurant, said one of his waiters, who he called Jimmy and said was in his 30s, had been hurt after the restaurant closed last night.

He said he believes Jimmy, who lives above the restaurant, is recovering in hospital.

A Met Police spokesman said there had been a stabbing and the victim's injuries are not life threatening.

A 32-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident.

A worker at Suitability dry cleaners, a few doors along from the restaurant, said customers had been asking questions all day.

The woman, in her 20s, who would not be named, said: "People have been asking all day.

"Everyone has been saying 'do you know what happened?'

"Some people have been worried because it's unusual to see something like that here.

"I came into work at 10am and didn't even notice it as I was rushing."

The restaurant, which is now open, was cordoned off from midnight until about 5.15pm.
