A BICYCLE courier from Leytonstone who reportedly rides an average of 75 miles per day around London has won a national award for his work.
Barry Warner, 39, of Peterborough Road, scooped top prize in the 'Two Wheel' category at the National Courier Awards after 17 years in his job working for the CitySprint firm.
Mr Warner was honoured for his length of service and dedication.
He said: “It’s a real accolade to be recognised by the industry in this way, particularly as there are some fantastic couriers out there.
“It’s not the easiest job in the world but it’s something I really love.”
Simon Kemplen, London Operations Director at CitySprint added: “We’re thrilled that Barry has received this award, which is richly deserved.”
