GANTS HILL: Elderly woman falls under train
AN ELDERLY woman was killed after falling under a train at Gants Hill station this morning.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: "A woman died after being struck by a Central line train at Gants Hill Tube station today (September 28).
"The incident was reported to police at 10.42am and is being treated as non-suspicious.
“BTP officers attended alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The station, which was closed while ambulances attended the scene reopened shortly before noon. Services are now running normally.
