WALTHAMSTOW MP Stella Creasy is rumoured to be in line for a job in the shadow cabinet.

A number of political commentators believe the former Waltham Forest councillor is part of leader Ed Milliband’s plans to freshen up the Labour front bench.

Miss Creasy has been enjoying a rising profile since entering Parliament at the last election.

She been running a high-profile campaign for limits on the costs of short term loans and Prime Minister David Cameron said the two had a ‘blossoming friendship’.

And ealier this year John Rentoul, chief political commentator for The Independent on Sunday and a biographer of Tony Blair, tipped Miss Creasy to one day lead the Labour Party.

He said she would broaden the party’s appeal because she ‘looks like a Tory’.

Miss Creasy persuaded Ed Milliband, then minister for environment, to give a talk in Walthamstow last year.

However, she supported his brother David during the leadership election.
