POLICE have launched an investigation after shots were fired in a residential street.
It happened at around 9.45pm on Sunday (October 16) in St Barnabas Road near the Bakers Arms junction.
Police say there are no reports that anyone was injured and no arrests have been made.
Officers were called by residents following reports that shots had been fired, but there was no-one at the scene when they arrived.
But police found damage to a wall which was "consistent with a firearm discharge", a spokeswoman said.
The Met's Trident unit, which focuses on violent crime in the black community, is leading the investigation.
The road was closed for several hours following the incident while forensic teams examined the scene.
Police say their enquiries are continuing.
