Arsene Wenger has urged Gunners’ captain Robin Van Persie to sign a new contract with the club.
The Dutch international has 19 months remaining on his current contract and has refused to discuss a new deal.
Van Persie has been linked with a move to big spending Manchester City and fans fear he could follow Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri out of the Emirates exit door.
