PEOPLE are being warned to watch out for unusual markings on their dustbins and homes.
The Chingford Green Safer Neighbourhood Team has warned that burglars are working in gangs to check when people leave for work, write the time near their home and burgle them while they are out.
The tactic has been used in neighbouring boroughs and the team is asking people to send photographs of any similar markings in Chingford Green before removing them.
