A JAZZ group is hoping to encourage youngsters to go to one of its performances at a community theatre.
The Tuxedo Jazz Orchestra will be performing classics including a version of The Teddy Bears’ Picnic and pieces by Cole Porter, Louis Armstrong and Bing Crosby at the Kenneth Moore Theatre in Ilford on November 13 from 7.30pm.
Orchestra member Tony Jacobs said: “I’d like to see younger people in the audience. They don’t necessarily want to come, but when they do, dragged kicking and screaming into the theatre by their parents or grandparents, they end up being gobsmacked by the music.”
To book tickets for the event, call the theatre’s box office on 020 8553 4466.
