THE borough's annual fireworks display and winter fair will take place on Saturday November 5, it has been announced.
The council-run event will be held as usual at Chestnuts Fields behind the town hall in Forest Road, Walthamstow.
Doors open at 5pm for the funfair, with the display due to start at 8pm.
Entry will be £4 for adults and £3 for children.
Cabinet member for leisure, arts and culture, Cllr Geraldine Reardon, said: “Residents of all ages love our annual Guy Fawkes Night celebrations, and with a top-quality, professional fireworks display on their doorstep it’s really no wonder why so many of them choose to join us rather than wrestle with wonky Catherine wheels or sputtering Roman candles.
"It promises to be a great night out whatever the weather, so wrap up warm, pop along and prepare to enjoy a fantastic autumn evening.”
