RESIDENTS are being warned to take precautions to protect their possessions after a high number of break-ins this week.
Epping Forest Council said the district has suffered an unusually large number of overnight house burglaries over the past seven days.
Most of the incidents saw residents' cars stolen after keys wee taken from houses.
Homeowners are advised to take measures, such as using their burglar alarms, locking their exterior outer front doors and gates and hiding car keys in unusual locations.
