John Still’s Dagenham & Redbridge will host former Premier League side Coventry City in the first round of the Capital One Cup.
The Daggers have never progressed to the second round of the competition but will relish the opportunity to take on a side who were playing Championship football last season.
Managed by Andy Thorn, City will be playing in League One next season after they suffered relegation from the second tier.
The tie is due to be played week commencing August 13.
