FOOTBALL fans flocked to Waterstones book shop in Walthamstow to meet sporting legend Alan Mullery.
The former England international was signing copies of his new book, Alan Mullery, The Autobiography, last week.
It is filled with stories about playing and mixing with football's finest players throughout his life and career Mullery made his debut for Fulham before moving on to play for Spurs.
He played for England 35 times including the World Cup in Mexico in 1970. When he retired from playing Mullery managed Brighton and Hove Albion, taking them into the top flight, and has also been in charge of Charlton Athletic, Crystal Palace and QPR.
"He lives and breathes football," said Waterstones manager Sabine Bassler.
"He has got great stories to tell and he has met all the greats.
"He was lovely, he was really nice to talk to, and he was wonderful with the people."
You can buy a signed copy of Alan Mullery, The Autobiography, at Waterstones, formerly Ottakers, in Selbourne Walk, Walthamstow.
