MILITARY officers running an Olympic campsite for 4,000 troops and security staff are set to answer questions from the public tomorrow.
The Snoozebox Ltd campsite on green belt land in Hainault Forest Country Park is already under construction after getting planning approval in April, and senior army officers will take questions about the military’s involvement in the Olympics and address any concerns over the site tomorrow (Sunday) from 10.30am.
They will be meeting in the country park’s café next to the site in Fox Burrow Road, Chigwell.
Troops will be taken to Olympic venues from the park by coach, but civilian staff will use public transport.
Low level LED lighting will be used to prevent native bats from being disturbed.
The park will remain open to the public during the Games, with Snoozebox expected to have vacated the site by the end of October.
