Two men have been charged over the attempted robbery of a cash security van at a South Woodford supermarket.
The incident happened on Monday (July 2) at around 7:45am at Waitrose in High Road.
Saqib Waheed, 27, of Katherine Road, Forest Gate, and Darrian Davis, 34, of no fixed abode, both appeared at Redbridge Magistrates Court yesterday (July 3) charged with Attempted Robbery of a cash in transit van.
Both men were unarmed and police said they were detained within four minutes of the attempted robbery.
No-one was injured during the incident.
