A MOTHER-of-two claims workers sent to repair her home broke her door to get in.
Mical Price, 32, of Emmanuel Court in Leyton, said she was in bed when contractors began smashing her front door to enter and fix a leak from her boiler which was seeping into the flat below on Friday, August 3.
She and her young children, aged 10 and 11, were woken up by the banging and Miss Price reached her door before it was knocked down, but glass in a small window in the door was cracked and she claims the door is now loose on its hinges.
She said: "When I was woken up I didn't know what it was. I was really frightened, it could have been people trying to break in."
The mum had been due to arrange an appointment for repairmen from Linbrooks to come and repair the leak after being contacted by her housing association, London & Quadrant (L&Q).
An L&Q spokesman said the contractors had sought to arrange a time on a number of occasions, but had eventually left a letter saying they would have to force entry after their attempts were unsuccessful.
He added the repairmen will fix the leak and the door shortly.
