AN AIR ambulance landed in South Woodford this morning after a man fell from a footpath onto the A406.
Traffic was halted on all westbound lanes of the road, between Charlie Brown’s roundabout and the Waterworks roundabout, after police were called at 10.40am.
The man, who is thought to be in his 60s, fell from the footpath that runs alongside Waitrose and Elmhurst Drive.
A police spokesman said that man suffered head injuries and was in a serious condition.
He was taken to the Royal London Hospital.
The road was reopened by 12.30pm.
