POLICE are searching for a missing pensioner they have described as "vulnerable" and "high-risk".

Nancy Ryan, 70, went missing from her home in Gaynes Hill Road in Woodford Bridge at about 9pm yesterday, and her family are worried about her safety.

She is described as white and about five ft five inches tall, with blonde hair cut into a bob.

Mrs Ryan was last seen wearing dark trousers, a brown cardigan and a floral top.

A helicopter searched for her around Woodford Bridge this morning.

The Guardian is awaiting more details regarding her disappearance and condition.
