A CHILDREN’S hospice will employ a new care support worker after receiving a grant of £90,000.
Haven House in Woodford Green, which provides care for children with life-limiting conditions, has been given the money by the BBC’s Children in Need charity.
The funds, which will be released over a three year period, will pay for a full-time health care support worker.
Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House, said: “The post will provide care for local children with medically complex and life-limiting conditions, in the warm and stimulating environment of Haven House.
“It will also provide respite for the parents and siblings of these children, who are understandably, often in desperate need of a break from the challenges of looking after their children.”
