A PAYDAY loan firm has been refused planning permission to open a new store in Leyton.
Council officers used delegated powers to reject the application by Instant Cash Loans for 'change of use' of the building at 295 High Road from a retail unit to a lending office.
Officers said: "the applicant has failed to demonstrate that the scheme meets all the relevant policy tests and [that] the proposed use which is not directly related to a shopping trip would adversely impact upon the vitality and viability of the primary shopping frontage contrary to [council policy for the area]".
