THREE months after a car ploughed into his shop front, the owner of Rupert's Upholstery is still not back in business.
Chris Foster has vowed he will be open again soon but does not know when.
He said: "I have got no option but to open.
"We have to jump through all the necessary hoops before the shop can be rebuilt, but I have spoken to my surveyor and it should be starting soon.
"The crash happened and it was a shock at the time, but I've dealt with it and moved on. Until it happens to you, you just don't know how you will react.
"When the building work starts I've been told the shop won't take long to rebuild."
On May 23 the driver of a Renault Clio crashed into the front of Rupert's Upholstery, in Victoria Road, South Woodford.
The female passenger of the car, named as Mabel Lall, 76, of Roding Lane North, in Woodford Green, died from her injuries on June 7.
Luckily, the shop was closed at the time.
A police spokesman said the investigation into the car crash is ongoing and enquries continue.
