A synagogue celebrated Mitzvah Day this weekend with a service, flower-making and donations to the homeless.
The family Mitzvah weekend service took place on Saturday afternoon at Woodford Liberal Synagogue, in Marlborough Road, South Woodford.
After the service children were invited to take part in a flower-making session to signify a good deed.
Members of the synagogue then donated over 600 items of food, toiletries and crockery to Jason Lee House, in York Road, Ilford, which provides temporary housing for the homeless.
