A COMPUTER whizz and a Chinese aficionado are among those set for places at two top universities.
Seven sixth-formers at Forest School in Snaresbrook have been offered places at Cambridge, while another three are aiming to go to Oxford.
Among those, Oshien Sheedy is the first student from the school to win a place to study Chinese at either university.
Meanwhile, Diggory Blake was offered a place to study computing after emerging from last summer's International Olympiad of Mathematics as the highest-scoring member of the UK team.
Those bound for Cambridge are: Diggory Blake (Computing, Trinity), Joseph Davighi (Natural Sciences, Caius), Priya Kotecha (Law, Trinity), Rita Lindsay (French and Russian, Pembroke), Helen Pierpoint (French and Spanish, Homerton), Oshien Sheedy (Chinese, Christ’s), and Christopher Wong (Natural Sciences, Churchill).
Meanwhile, those set to go to Oxford are: William Brown (History and Economics, Pembroke), Emily Channon (Classics, St John’s), and Francesca Cioni, (Classics and English, Corpus Christi).
