West Ham United are considering launching new bids for South American duo Pablo Guerrero and Emanuel Insua, according to the Daily Mirror.
Hammers co-owner David Sullivan tried to tempt Corinthians and Boca Juniors respectively to sell Guerrero and Insua, however both bids were rebuffed.
It is believed West Ham were keen to sign the pair on loan with the view to permanent deals but may now have to resort to paying money upfront to complete their capture.
Thirty-year-old Guerrero is an attacking midfielder-cum-forward, who lists Bayern Munich and Hamburg among his former clubs and is a full Peruvian international.
Argentine Insua is a 23-year-old left-back, who made his first-team breakthrough for Boca in 2012. The 5ft 9in full-back spent the 2012/13 season out on loan at Godoy Cruz.
