Mark Noble is relishing a return to first-team action in pre-season after undergoing successful surgery on an adnominal injury.
The Hammers captain missed the final two games of the season, with his last appearance coming in the memorable 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on May 5.
Having returned to fitness, Noble is eager for United’s pre-season schedule to get underway with a match against Fulham on Thursday.
“The operation went really well and I’ve trained every day and been involved in everything since we’ve been back, so I feel really good,” he told the club website.
“Obviously it was a little bit worrying at the end of last season, but I feel much better now.”
The Hammers pre-season commitments see them face back-to-back games against Werder Bremen next Friday and Saturday before taking on Altona 93 o August 1.
They complete their friendlies with a clash against Manchester City on Friday, August 4 ahead of getting their 2016/17 campaign started at Manchester United the following Sunday.
