West Ham United look set to continue their summer recruitment with the signing of Marko Arnautovic, reports claim.
The Stoke winger is said to be close to agreeing a club record £23 million move to London Stadium, and the deal could be completed in the next 48 hours.
With Joe Hart on the verge of completing a one-year loan deal from Manchester City the Hammers recruitment plans have finally started to bear fruit.
The Hammers previously had bids of £15m and £20m rejected for the 28-year-old Austrian international.
Stoke were keen to hold out for more money due to the fact 20 per cent of any transfer fee will have to be paid to Arnautovic’s former club Werder Bremen.
He is expected to undergo a medical before joining the remainder of the West Ham squad at their pre-season training camp in his homeland.
