Leyton Orient striker Sam Dalby has signed for SkyBet Championship side Leeds United.

He has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at Elland Road, and departs for an undisclosed fee.

The 18-year-old played 17 times for the O's last season, when they were relegated from League Two.

But he featured only twice for the club this season prior to his sale.

Assistant coach Ross Embleton told the Guardian Series Dalby has a big future ahead of him in the professional game.

He said: "Having worked with and watched him he's a huge talent, and I've no doubt he could play at a very good level because of how good he is.

"He's got a calmness which only very good players have at his age. He's very good in front of goal and making them for others too.

"It can sound ludicrous to think he can go and play at that level but I think for the club to have put him in a lot more this season would have been difficult.

"It's not always the best thing to do in the Conference because it's a tough, physical league and we were struggling, throwing a young player into that can damage them."
