Leyton Orient have confirmed that Freddy Moncur has left the club by mutual consent.
Brother of Barnsley midfielder George, Moncur came through the ranks at Brisbane Road and made his debut against Luton Town in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy in September 2015.
The young midfielder penned a new one-year-contract at Brisbane Road last summer, but has spent time on loan at Bishops Stortford during the last two campaigns.
Moncur made 11 appearances in all competitions for the O’s, nine of which coming last season.
Elsewhere, the O’s have also confirmed that a trio of youngsters have departed Brisbane Road on loan.
Goalkeeper Sam Sargeant has completed a move to Bostik Premier League side Leatherhead until the end of the season, while Charley Barker and Andrew Camilo-Tayaca have joined Northwood on work-experience loans.
Sargeant spent time on loan with Margate earlier this campaign and made 18 appearances for the O’s last season, having penned a two-year contract at Brisbane Road in June 2016. The O’s have the option to recall the goalkeeper.
