Ross Embleton has been appointed the permanent head coach of Leyton Orient on a rolling 12-month contract.
The 38-year-old had been filling in as an interim head coach after the sacking of Carl Fletcher in November, but the club have moved to give the side some stability following the hectic festive schedule.
The club also say they held discussions with Embleton over recent weeks regarding an improvement to the on-field results and the development of the current first-team squad.
On his appointment, Embleton said: "Obviously I'm delighted. It's been a real strange season. I think we all expected it to be a real strange season but the biggest thing right from the beginning of it was stability and trying to get comfortable, which we're obviously still striving to achieve.
"I want to get better but I'm absolutely delighted to become the club's new manager."
Chairman Nigel Travis told the club website: "For a number of reasons it has been a difficult season and therefore, the board, alongside Martin Ling, have been very deliberate in the search for the club's new head coach and we are pleased to appoint Ross Embleton to that role."
