Younes Kaboul
NEWCASTLE UNITED are in talks with Spurs over a possible deal for out-of-favour defender Younes Kaboul, according to the Sunday Sun.
The Magpies have been linked with a move for another of Tottenham's defenders Anthony Gardner, but it appears they are more keen on Kaboul, who is not thought to figure in boss Juande Ramos' plans.
Spurs are thought to want £6million for the 22-year-old, although Newcatle are reluctant to meet that price.
