Leyton Orient-1-3-Plymouth Argyle
Leyton Orient dropped into the relegation zone as they collapsed 3-1 at home to Plymouth Argyle in League One.
The O’s fell behind in the first half but equalized a few minutes later. They lost the game in the second half as they conceded two more and put more pressure on head coach Richie Wellens.
Orient named the same starting line-up for the second game in a row hoping his side would build on their draw against Stockport last week.
It was the home side that started off well and they could have taken an early lead when top goal scorer Dom Ballard headed from close range only to see his attempt go over the bar after a cross by Sean Clare on seven minutes.
Plymouth Argle responded well and a few minutes later created a chance of their own when Alex Mitchell headed from the centre of the box only to see his attempt saved by Orient goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi after an assist by Joe Edwards.
The O’s came forward again and missed another chance to take the lead when Ollie O'Neill’s right footed shot from the left side of the box went too high on 21 minutes.
Orient were clearly the more confident side as two minutes later defender James Morris came close to getting on the score sheet when his right footed shot from outside the box went close but misses to the right following a corner.
After a quite period the away side started to get back into the game and took a shock lead when Aribim Pepple left footed shot from very close range went into the bottom left corner seconds before the half-time break.
But the O’s responded in spectacular fashion and equalized a minute later when O'Neill’s right footed shot from the centre of the box wen into the bottom right corner after a good cross from Morris.

After the break it was the away side that started off well and they took the lead again when Ronan Curtis right footed shot from very close range went into the high centre of the goal on 52 minutes.
Orient came close to equalizing two minutes later when Dylan Levitt right footed shot from outside the box went high and wide to the left.
The O’s were lucky not to go further behind when Matthew Sorinola right footed shot from the left side of the box went close but misses to the left following a corner for the away side.
But on 70 minutes the home side did fall further behind when Mathias Ross header from the centre of the box went into the bottom left corner after a cross by Curtis to make it 3-1.
The host tried to get back onto the game and came close when Will Forrester’s header from the centre of the box was saved in the bottom right corner by Plymouths goalkeeper after a cross by Charlie Wellens.
Plymouth argyle then missed several chances to kill the game off but hung on to pick up a vital three points.
