Buckhurst Hill suffered a 99-run defeat to Ilford.

Several Ilford batsmen made a worthy contribution to their total of 186 all out, with Nigel Jacobs the highest score on 59. Buckhurst Hill's bowlers shared the spoils, with Todd Astle (three for 57) and Rob Petchey (three for 41) the highlights.

Buckhurst Hill's response was poor and they were all out for 87. Joint top scorers were Ed Buxton and Jamie Allen with 27 each, which gives an indication of the dearth of runs elsewhere in the line-up. Best bowling for Ilford was Abir Chippa (six for 15).

Ilford's big hits started to find fielders reducing them to 150 for seven.

But a late partnership managed to get them up to 225 before being bowled out.
The Hill reply got off to a solid start, but this was to be followed by a flurry of wickets, leaving the home side on 64 for five.

It was up to the partnership of Alan Dantes and Ajit Ramasangaram to rebuild. With ten overs left, Hill needed around 80 to win and the last pair survived six balls to finish on 202 for nine.

Buckhurst Hill Thirds drew with Leigh-on-Sea.

The side declared at 243 for six with a fantastic 116 not out from Dipal Thankey. Leigh-on-Sea scored 160 for eight to secure the draw with best bowling from Hossam Uddin (three for 22).

Buckhurst Hill Fourths maintained their 100 per cent record with a nine-wicket victory over Leigh-on-Sea.

The opposition were dismissed for 119 in 56 overs with Ash Mohammed taking four wickets.

In reply Buckhurst Hill chased down the score in only 18 overs for the loss of only one wicket. Veteran opener Naomal Wijesooriya hit 40 not out and Mohammed scored an unbeaten 66.
