Epping Bowls Club got into the London 2012 spirit as their members completed in an Olympic Games themed competition.
The green was laid out with obstacles and targets which represented the stadium, the Olympic rings, the torch, the flag and events including the long jump, the Hurdles and the Paralympics Archery.
The teams chose the name of a competing country and after completing two circuits of the green, the top three highest scoring teams were presented with Bronze, Silver and Gold awards by Vice-Captain Edward Panter.
Gold medals were given to Jean Childs, Mathew Jones and Philip Briggs who named themselves who were team New Zealand for the event.
