Russell Slade claims his strikers are in the “form of their lives” after they fired Leyton Orient to a club record start to the season.
Goals from David Mooney and Kevin Lisbie, against their former club Colchester United, secured a 2-1 victory on Saturday which maintained the O’s 100 per cent record in League One.
Mooney and Lisbie have formed a lethal partnership and have both scored five goals each already in the opening month of the season. Shaun Batt also got off the mark yesterday netting a hat-trick in the O's Johnstone's Paint Trophy win at Gillingham.
Slade said: “The chances were taken by our in-form strikers. They’re [Lisbie and Mooney] in the form of their lives at the start of the season which is what you want.
"They’ve both got five apiece and they’re looking so potent at the minute it’s frightening.”
