Gateshead have confirmed that tomorrow’s FA Trophy quarter-final replay against Leyton Orient is expected to take place, however, they will hold a precautionary pitch inspection in the morning should overnight rain affect the playing surface.
The National League side confirmed on Twitter that all remaining snow has been cleared ‘leaving a wet, but playable surface.' Despite this, the club also added that a precautionary pitch inspection will take place in the morning if necessary should overnight rain hit the area.
Orient’s replay against Gateshead was scheduled for tomorrow, after both teams agreed to postpone last week’s fixture due to the adverse weather conditions forecast.
The winner of the replay will be just one round away from playing at Wembley and they will face either Bromley or Spennymoor Town in the FA Trophy semi-finals.
