ORIENT manager Martin Ling is fully aware that striker Jabo Ibehre will be out to prove a point when the O's head for Walsall on Saturday.

The 25-year-old, broke his 13 year association with the east Londoners in the summer, when Ling allowed him to join the Saddlers.

And since them Ibehre has scored twice in four league starts as Walsall have made a useful start to the season with two wins and a draw and Ling knows the powerful frontman will be keen to add to that total at the Banks Stadium this weekend.

He said: “They have had a good start, but they are only two points above us at the minute so a win for us will put us above them.

“It is still very early yet, although we know it will be a tough game because they are coming of the back of an excellent5-2 win against Southend last Saturday.

“I'm also sure like any player, who has been let go by this club Jabo will be out to prove a point.

“We've already had it once this season when Aaron McLean scored against us for Peterborough and I'm sure Jabo would like to do the same.

“But we've kept two cleansheets in our last couple of league games and looked very solid at the back, so we will be doing our hardest to stop him getting a goal on Saturday.”
