ORIENT manager Martin Ling will see his squad tested to the full for the trip to Walsall with six names almost certainly not to be on the bus to face the Saddlers.

Defenders Tamika Mkandawire and Danny Granville are still unavailable because of groin injuries, although former Spurs man Alton Thelwell should return after being rested against Southend on Tuesday night because of his on-going knee trouble.

On-loan Spurs striker Simon Dawkins, who twisting his ankle during that Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory is also set to miss out.

A disappointed Ling said: "We still don't know the full extent of the injury yet, but it's a twist to the ankle and it's the same one he has suffered two twists to already this season."

Striker Wayne Gray meanwhile faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after it was revealed this week that he has damaged his cruciate knee ligament.

Young midfielder Solomon Shields is also out with an ankle problem and Luton loan signing Dean Morgan is also set to see his debut delayed further by a similar problem.

And despite having his squad stretched to the full, Ling is unlikely to name midfielder Sean Thornton in his 16-man squad, having failed to name him even on the bench for the last three games.
